Specifying new
equipment or systems or assessing existing ones for a changing market
is difficult, and when the subject is as complex as fluid engineering,
it becomes a very specialist task. Specifying the basic flows and
pressures required is often the easy part of fluid engineering.
A detailed functional specification, or assessment of an existing
design goes much further, involving:
- rheology
assessment and resultant hydraulic analysis
- dynamic performance
under planned and extreme pressure transient and external pressure
and temperature conditions
- mechanical
strength, component sizing and APSH
- material
wear and ageing under different conditions
- sealing,
lubrication and filtration to avoid contamination and excessive
wear
- instrumentation
for performance monitoring for safety or reliability
Our multi-disciplinary
teams combine a theoretical understanding of a range of engineering
disciplines with applications experience of hundreds of systems
in the field to bring together the expertise you need. For more
