Save time and
money in your design process with virtual engineering and testing
using computational fluid dynamics (CFD), finite element analysis
(FEA) and specialised design simulation tools. BHRSolutions
helps improve the production process, component, product and system
design with a wide range of modelling services which use an array
of simulation tools and physical testing facilities.
Benefits
Computer based simulations offer cost savings and a fast, efficient
route for product and process development:
- Reduced design
cycle
- Reduced testing
programmes
- Improved
product quality and reliability
- Increased
process efficiency
- Opportunity
to balance aesthetics with functionality
- Better component
and material selection
- Assessment
of the influence of the manufacturing process

Experience
The analysis of physical structures and their interactions with
contained or enveloping fluids involves consideration of many complex
phenomena. Our fluid engineering knowledge and application experience
allows us to tailor basic, validated software codes to reflect more
accurately the complexity required by the simulation and also to
verify its accuracy for your case using selected physical testing
on our wide range of test facilities.
BHRSolutions'
Engineering Analysis and Simulation Team comprises a group of experienced
engineers from diverse but complementary backgrounds including engineering
science, physics, mechanical, aeronautical and chemical engineering,
with experience in process industry, utilities, bioengineering,
product development and design.
The Team provides
services for the systematic evaluation of product, process, unit/component
design, behaviour and performance. The tools employed include CFD,
FEA and BHRSolutions' own software. Their key skills aid
in understanding the dynamics of the system being modelled, abstracting
and simplifying the associated problems, and setting up and solving
the equations that represent them.

Applications
Virtual
modelling is used to:
- Predict complex
thermodynamic, reaction, turbulence and flow phenomena
- Change geometry
and fluid properties and view results instantly
- Vary material
properties, and identify ideal materials of construction
- Virtually
engineer whole systems
- Simulate
and analyse non-linear phenomena and materials
- Assess the
effect of operating environment on new and aged materials
- Assess the
effects of design, process or material changes
- Assess the
properties of a whole system: pressure drop and flowrates, pressure
surge analysis, component sizing, etc.
Virtual Testing
- Review inherently
dangerous processes safely
- Focus physical
testing on optimised processes/equipment
- Test maxima/minima
conditions without damage to test machinery
- Produce response
surface models to predict system behaviour
- Assess the
influence of control and supervisory systems on performance
- Trouble shoot
components and systems by analysing field and data and reproducing
the response within a simulation
