BHR Group has
two test rigs dedicated to fatigue work. Both the rigs are controlled
by a microprocessor-based system which affords complete closed loop
control of impulse pressure and vibration waveforms. Parameters
such as pressure rise time, impulse test pressure, and rate of decay,
can be specified and then maintained accurately throughout the duration
of the test.
As well as carrying
out fatigue investigations to a client's specific requirements,
the following test procedures are among those which can be accommodated:

4 - compression couplings
- CEGB Standard
236601 - compression couplings
- Lloyd's Register
of Shipping requirements for compression couplings used on offshore
and marine installations (BHR Group is a Lloyd's approved test
house)
- Pressure
impulse testing of hydraulic hoses to SAE and BS specifications.
- AHEM/R.M.P
3/82 - Test method for the determination of fatigue pressure rating
for metal pressure containing envelopes in hydraulic fluid power
systems.
