High pressure
jetting of drains is the most common method of cleaning, with pressures
ranging from 135-345 bar. A significant problem, especially on initial
system flush after construction, is the presence of concrete deposits.
Pressures in excess of 345 bar are often needed to remove this but
can cause damage to the plastic lining.
Uponor, Wavin
Products and Marley Extrusions commissioned us to develop an answer
to this problem. By understanding the large variety of interactions
between the jet and pipe wall a new head was developed, which cleans,
at pressures up to 655 bar in a range of pipes without damage.
