Options
The flexible design provides a number of options:
- Multiple
reactant feeds (in series or parallel)
- In-reactor
instrumentation (e.g. temperature, FT-IR) to monitor progress
of a reaction and gain critical kinetic data
- Incorporation
of additional functionality between tubes (e.g. separation, additional
heat transfer)
- Two basic
configurations:
- Single
Ended design-highly flexible and robust with re-configurable
connectors at one end only
- Double
Ended design - maximum flexibility with connectors at both
ends.

Materials
FlexReactor is normally supplied in stainless steel or Hastelloy
- other materials to special order.
Connectors
High Integrity Swagelok or similar fittings are used for the
re-configurable connectors - all external to the shell with no risk
of leakage between process and heat transfer fluid.

Pilot scale units are approximately twice the linear scale of the

Full Scale
Units
Full scale units are supplied to customers' requirements. These
incorporate mechanical design features more suited to a production
environment, but maintaining the flexibility to convert from one
product to another within hours.

in laboratory scale plant, suitable for piloting or prototyping
PI applications.
